APPLICATIONS – BACKSPLASHES

The backsplash is the focal point of the kitchen and bath and often sets the tone for the rest of the house.  The best advice is that you should not install the backsplash, in fact you should not even think about selecting your backsplash tile, until your countertops, cabinets and other decorating plans are set and finished. It is very difficult to carry color, texture, size and design in your mind’s eye while trying to imagine what your countertop and or cabinets will look like after they have been installed! It is so much easier to take the samples and put them in the shadows of your cabinets and allow the reflection of your new countertops to affect the tile color so that you can make the proper selection. You just can’t do your backsplash justice if you select your tile in the abstract. Only after everything is finished can you take samples to the environment and make the selection that will provide the appropriate “finishing touch” to your kitchen or bath backsplash!
